I joined Jack Brown Eyecare in 1986 as Managing Optician.
I'm interested in all aspects of Ophthalmics and have a broad knowledge in every area. I am happy to investigate news, lenses etc. for patients,and am a good listener for your optical problems.

Graduated from the now, Glasgow Caledonion University in 1983.
Started pre reg year in Oxford working with Ophthalmologists before moving back to Scotland.
Registered member of the General Optical Council.
Fellow of the British Dispensing Opticians F.B.D.O.
Diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing Dip.O.D.

I Joined Jack Brown in 1996.
I have a broad spectrum interest in all aspects of Optometry with special interests in Contact Lenses, Diabetic Retinopathy and Paediatric Eyecare. 
Completed training in conjunction with PAEP regarding Diabetic Retinopathy and continue to provide childrens eyecare on behalf of the PAEP with the Lothian Orthoptic/ Optometry Partnership.

I have been with Jack Brown Eyecare since July 2006,but I Started working in my fathers' ( R. Barnett ) practice in 1990, age 15! I especially love testing children and the fitting of contact lenses. I have a particular interest in Migraine, Multiple Sclerosis and the involvement in eyes. I enjoy advising on the correct choice of frames and lenses.

I have been with Jack Brown Eyecare since March 1993 after graduating at the University of Wales.
